Wyoming Dinosaur Center Internship Opportunities
For more than 20 years, the Wyoming Dinosaur Center has hosted a summer Internship Program for students and other interested persons. In the process we have introduced more than 200 individuals to a first-hand experience working at our world-class museum.
This program was designed to offer college students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain real world experience educating and interacting with the public while working in the field of paleontology, in a museum, prep lab, and at active dinosaur quarries. However, being a student or recent graduate is not a requirement of this position.
All applicants must: – be at least 21 years old – possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years – have the ability to lift a minimum of 30lbs repeatedly – preferred field of study: paleontology/geology
Here at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center we believe in learning through teaching. Interns will be responsible for running and maintaining dig sites, hosting daily digging programs with the public, leading museum and dig site tours. We will make sure that all interns are taught everything they need to know to interact with the public while solidifying their knowledge and expanding said knowledge through educating others.
A stipend is paid twice a month to interns, and housing/utilities are provided for the duration of your stay.
Internships will begin on May 13th and continue through September 13th.
Flexible scheduling is available based on the length of student’s availability.
